Sam's Story
My name is Sam (short for Samantha). I am writing this letter for my friend, Wyndy Buckner. I met Wyndy last summer through my friend Michael. I would see her walking in the park, and she would always wave at us. She's Michael's Mom, and she is the coolest Mom ever!!!
I have always been fat. As I got to know wyndy she began telling me how she was on a very special diet. At first I kind of ignored her, but I would see her every day walking and sometimes even twice a day. Every time I would see her she would stop and encourage me to walk with her. One day I did and my life hasn't been the same.
She has taught me sooo much about myself, who I am, what I can become. Her taking the time to care has given me the strength to join her on what she calls "her little mission." I have lost a lot of weight, and I have Wyndy to thank. She always tells me it's not her who gets the credit, but God. But She played a huge part in my success.
I love her!!! I was going to drop out of school this year, but because of Wyndy and her husband Mike I made the decision to hang in there. I will graduate from High School in 2 weeks!!! And I have a beautiful new dress to wear!!! Wyndy is the Greatest Mom ever!!!!!
